How to remove Ink or Permanent Marker stains

PROCEDURE FOR UPHOLSTERY "SYNTHETIC FIBERS":
1. Saturate area liberally with Pro's Choice Pro Stain Magic.
2. Apply Pro's Choice Ink Out to stain and agitate gently to dissolve deposit.
3. Extraction rinse area leaving as dry as possible. If any stain remains repeat steps 1 and 2.
4. When stain removal is complete wet area liberally with Pro's Choice CSS (Color Stabilizer & Souring Agent) to neutralize chemicals and stabilize colors.
5. Extraction rinse and dry as rapidly as possible.

PROCEDURE FOR UPHOLSTERY "COTTON OR ORLON FIBERS": Removal of ink from these fibers is very nearly impossible. It is quite likely that during the process the ink stain will spread and result in a larger permanent stain. If you have no choice but to attempt removal proceed as follows:
1. Place suction hose at the edge of the stain.
2. Inject Pro's Choice Ink Out under stain to flush stain out and immediately into vacuum Hose.
3. When you have flushed as much ink as possible from fabric allow vacuum to draw air through fabric to dry the spot.
4. At this point you may be able to use an oil pastel stick (available from Art Supply Store) to hide the stain.

PROCEDURE FOR CARPET:
1. Apply Pro's Choice Pro-Solve Gel liberally to spot. Using a bone scraper gently agitate deposit.
2. If this is an old heavy deposit allow 5 minute dwell time for the chemical to dissolve deposit.
3. When deposit appears to be dissolved, scrape excess chemical along with stain from fibers with spatula blade.
4. Apply Pro's Choice Power Gel and gently but thoroughly agitate carpet.
5. Thoroughly extraction rinse. Use multiple vacuum only passes to leave as dry as possible.
6. If light visible stain remains apply Pro's Choice Pro Stain Magic to stained fibers, cover with terry towel, and apply steam heat (lowest "steam" setting) for 15 seconds.
